Lee is a teacher of education studies and technology within the School of Education. His research interests include interdisciplinary learning, technologies and society. He has been teaching Design and Technology for 14 years. He was previously Principal Teacher Pupil Support and has GTCS Professional Recognition in Guidance and Pastoral Care. Lee spent two years seconded to The Scottish Government Lifelong Learning Directorate, before taking up a post as a local authority funded, Excellence for All Coordinator. Lee is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a member of the UNESCO-IBE Community of Practice for Curriculum Development and is currently the Higher Education Representative for the Scottish Technology Teachers Association.

David was a teacher of Technology Education for almost 10 years and taught a number of subjects at a number of levels including Craft, Design, Technological Studies and Graphic Communication. He also had the opportunity to undertake further study and completed his PhD in Secondary School Technology Education which was funded by the Underwood Trust. This focused upon the differences between more and less successful problem solving by pupils in technology classrooms. He is currently responsible for developing, delivering and co-ordinating a number of courses on the degree programme including Design, Systems and Integrating Technology, Materials and Teacher Education for technology classrooms. He is a member of the Curriculum, Assessment & Pedagogy Group lead by Prof Louise Hayward and his work focusses on learning processes, creative problem solving, instructional design and assessment mainly within Technology Education classrooms.
