Develop your career as a teacher of Technology Education with a focus on
Technologies: Craft, Design, Engineering and Graphics
Study our Master of Technology Education
with Teaching Qualification (MTechEd)
Our programme of studies emphasises a broad but deep knowledge and understanding of design and technology, to include experience in teaching (initial teacher education) where students can exercise pedagogical content knowledge by exploring the agency between the teacher and the learner.
Professional courses in education studies allow students to undertake professional enquiry and scholarship with their peers in other sectors of education such as primary and secondary disciplines. Our specialist core focuses on developing the early career teacher of Craft, Design, Engineering and Graphics.
OUR LOCAL AND NATIONAL PARTNERS
Our programme is aligned to emerging changes to national curriculum, assessment and pedagogy, with established strategic and operational partnerships with a range of secondary schools, Colleges of Further Education and with organisations such as Education Scotland and the Scottish Technology Teacher's Association.
School experience is a crucial component within our Programme and we recognise the value that our school partners bring to the student experience. Likewise, our curriculum is jointly delivered by our learning partners in Glasgow Clyde College.
These partnerships are so important, they form one part of our Programme Committee via the External Advisory Board.
